Filipa Appleton began her academic journey at ISEG in 1999. She holds a degree in Economics, with a specialization in Political Economy, as well as a postgraduate degree in Marketing and Sales and Senior Marketeer Certification from the Portuguese Marketing Professionals Association.
She began her professional career in the banking sector before moving into technology and services at Lexmark, where she served as Product Manager and later Head of Marketing over a six-year period.
Between 2006 and 2010, she worked in the telecommunications sector as Marketing Manager at Nokia.
From late 2010 to early 2022, Filipa led the Marketing function for Lidl in Portugal.
In March 2022, she joined Galp as part of the Marketing & Client Solutions leadership team, where she served as Global Head of Brand & Marketing until August 2023. She then moved into her current role as Head of Brand & Marketing at Continente.
