Sheree Mitchell

Sheree M. Mitchell is the Founder and President of Immersa Global, a luxury destination management company specializing in tailor-made travel experiences, boutique meetings, and special events throughout Portugal. A fifth-generation Floridian who has called Portugal home since 2015, she has spent more than two decades designing transformative travel experiences that foster meaningful connections between people, cultures, and places.

Under her leadership, Immersa Global became the first American-owned and operated full-service destination management company in Portugal, serving discerning travelers, corporate executives, family offices, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals seeking authentic, highly personalized experiences supported by an in-house white-glove concierge service. The company is known for providing exclusive access to local people and places that are rarely accessible to most visitors.

A strong advocate for responsible tourism and social sustainability, Sheree has embedded these principles into Immersa Global’s operating model. The company intentionally directs business toward small local suppliers, family-owned enterprises, and women-led businesses whenever possible, helping preserve cultural traditions, strengthen local economies, and ensure that tourism’s economic benefits are distributed more broadly throughout Portugal.

Sheree is a five-time Travel + Leisure Expert for Portugal (2022–2026) and a recognized thought leader in luxury travel, destination management, and experiential design. Her expertise has been featured in international media, and she is a frequent speaker on topics related to cultural immersion, luxury hospitality, and the future of transformative travel.

Beyond her professional work, Sheree is deeply committed to strengthening international relationships and cultural exchange. She serves as President of ASTA Portugal, sits on the Board of Directors of the Fulbright Commission Portugal, and serves as Vice President of the American Club of Lisbon. In 2019, she helped facilitate the sister-city relationship between Miami Beach and Cascais, reflecting her longstanding commitment to building meaningful connections between Portugal and the United States.
