Born in January 1974 in Maia, where she has always lived, she is the mother of two children, aged 28 and 23.
She has held a Law degree since 1997 and completed a postgraduate degree in Communication Law at the Institute for Legal Communication (IJC) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra. She also completed the first edition of the Master in Public Administration (MPA) at the Catholic University of Porto.
She began her professional career in the private sector and practiced law in Maia and Porto, where she ran her own law office.
Since 2017, she has served as Councilwoman for Environment, Climate and Energy at the Municipality of Maia, a role she combines with the Presidency of the municipal company MAIAMBIENTE.
Having served on the Board of Directors of LIPOR between 2017 and 2025, she is currently a Board Member of SMAS – Maia Municipal Water and Sanitation Services, AdePorto – Porto Energy Agency, and ENNO – Energias do Norte.
In 2021, she played an active role in the creation of the Intermunicipal Association of the Leça River Corridor and has since served as Vice-President of the General Assembly Board.
Her work has focused on promoting urban sustainability, enhancing natural resources, environmental and energy management, improving quality of life in urban areas, and strengthening local public policies aligned with contemporary climate and social challenges.
