Pedro Pires

Pedro Pires has been a creative writer for 29 years. An award-winning Creative Director, recognized nationally and internationally, he is also a regular jury member at some of the world’s leading design and advertising festivals. Founder of Poets & Painters and President of the Clube da Criatividade de Portugal from 2013 to 2018, he was named Advertising Personality of the Year in 2017 and Creative Director of the Year in 2020. Since 2009, he has written about communication and branding for various media outlets and is the host of the digital program Marcas a Bordo. He is the author of Os Pés Não Têm Céu (2022), Cosmogonia da Identidade (2024), and Sobra o que Esfregamos na Pele (2025).

He has served as a juror at numerous national and international festivals, including the Clube da Criatividade de Portugal (2002, 2005, 2011, and 2021, where he chaired the Design Jury), ADCE London (2003), ADCE Barcelona (2010), Eurobest (2013), Dubai Lynx (2015), White Square (2018), Cannes Lions (2018), M&P Awards (2025, as President of the Design Jury), and FIAP (2025).

His work has been recognized by some of the industry’s most prestigious organizations and competitions, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, ADCE, Red Dot, Graphis, European Excellence Awards, Eurobest, Clube da Criatividade de Portugal, and Meios & Publicidade.
