Inês Drummond Borges

Inês Drummond Borges is currently a Board Member and Chief Transformation Officer at Sonae Sierra, a role she has held since July 2021. She has played a key role in the company’s commercial, cultural, and digital transformation—crucial to enabling a new cycle of growth under Sonae Sierra’s strategy to diversify its business within the real estate sector.

Before joining Sonae Sierra, she led the digital transformation of Worten, where she served as Marketing Director for Portugal and Spain from 2015 to 2021. During this time, she was responsible for repositioning the brand, establishing it as a leading omnichannel tech marketplace.

She also worked at Vodafone for 15 years, holding various positions in strategy, innovation, marketing, and customer value management. During her time there, she was involved in major projects, including the mobile-fixed convergence in the telecom sector and the creation and development of the Yorn brand.

Inês began her professional journey at McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst, where she specialized in digital businesses.

With a strong growth mindset—for businesses, organizations, and people—Inês is passionate about innovation, talent, and transformation. She advocates for authentic and human-centered leadership, placing high value on diversity and the positive impact of companies on society.

She holds a degree in Economics from Nova University Lisbon and completed an Erasmus program at Université des Sciences Sociales de Toulouse. Fluent in Portuguese, English, French, and Spanish, she brings a global perspective and a deep interest in economic development and social entrepreneurship.
