Diogo Sousa

Diogo Sousa is the Head of Communications at Galp and a board member of APCE – the Portuguese Association for Corporate Communication.

With over 20 years of experience in communications, he has held key roles, including Executive Director of the Galp Foundation, Corporate Communications Manager at NOS, and Corporate Client Director at GCI, where he managed accounts such as Siemens and BP.

He began his career in the healthcare sector as a Communications Officer at Apifarma – the Portuguese Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry – and later at AstraZeneca.

Passionate about innovation, he has served as a judge for the WSA – World Summit Awards, a mentor for the Lisbon Challenge in public relations, and was responsible for communications at COTEC, Beta-i, startups like Talkdesk, and the Global Shapers network, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

Diogo holds a degree in Social Communication from the Catholic University of Portugal and a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management from IDEFE/ISEG.
