André Macedo is Editor-in-Chief of Jornal Económico. Throughout his career, he has led some of Portugal’s leading newsrooms, including Diário de Notícias, Jornal i, Dinheiro Vivo, and Diário Económico. He also worked at RTP as Deputy Director, where he created and hosted the weekly program Tudo é Economia (“Everything is Economics”).

He founded a communications agency, an experience he describes as an opportunity to understand “the other side”, before returning to journalism.

He is 54 years old, from Lisbon, and a supporter of Sporting.
