Gonçalo Regalado

Gonçalo Regalado has served as Chief Executive Officer of the Banco Português de Fomento (BPF) since January 2025 and is also Vice-Chairman of its Board of Directors.

With a diverse career spanning both the private and public sectors, he has built extensive executive experience in strategic decision-making, investment promotion, and business financing in Portugal.

Prior to joining BPF, he served as Director of Corporate, Business and Institutional Marketing at Millennium bcp from 2017 onwards. Between 2015 and 2017, he led the bank’s European Funds and Economic Sectors division, having previously worked there as a Senior Consultant from 2009 to 2012.

In the public sector, he served as Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Internal Administration in 2014, where he coordinated strategic projects and public policy initiatives. He also led the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme between 2012 and 2013, promoting education, mobility, youth exchanges, and European volunteering projects.

He began his professional career in 2006 as Financial Advisor to the CEO of Portugal Telecom Inovação, focusing on financial analysis and strategic development.

Gonçalo holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Coimbra, a postgraduate qualification in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Portuguese Catholic University, a Master’s degree in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, and has completed the Advanced Management Program at AESE Business School.
