Manuel Andrade

Manuel has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IST, University of Lisbon, a post-graduate degree in Management from Catolica Lisbon Business & Economics and various degrees ranging from Innovation to Strategic Leadership at AESE Business School and INSEAD.

Over the course of a career spanning more than 20 years, he has worked in different areas of the energy sector, from Sales & Marketing to Sponsorship & Branding and Corporate Social Responsibility.

He is currently Head of Open Innovation at Galp, where he recently launched the new open innovation platform Upcoming Energies, which aims to accelerate the innovation ecosystem as a response to the challenge of the energy transition, and to help Galp build a portfolio of opportunities to thrive in the path to decarbonization.
