Paulo Soares

Paulo Soares, 60, was born in Lisbon, Portugal, and holds a degree in Business Organization and Management from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. He brings 38 years of professional experience in senior leadership roles across Consulting, the Automotive Industry, and Consumer Goods.

Throughout his career, he held several leadership positions at Arthur Andersen and Rieter, with a strong focus on finance. He later served for more than a decade as President and CEO of Nobre Alimentação, Portugal’s leading processed meat company. He subsequently joined Campofrio Food Group in Madrid as Chief Finance & IS&T Officer and member of the Executive Committee for five years.

In January 2016, he became General Manager for Southern Europe, taking overall responsibility for the group’s operations in Spain, Portugal, and Italy. Since 2021, he served as CEO of the Developing Markets division, overseeing Portugal, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

Between 2024 and 2025, he was General Manager of the Spanish group García Carrión, one of the world’s largest juice and wine producers. In January 2026, he joined Nueva Pescanova Group as General Manager for Spain and Portugal, a leading seafood company in the Iberian market.

Paulo Soares has worked primarily between Lisbon and Madrid and currently lives in Vigo. He is fluent in Portuguese (his native language), Spanish, and English.
