Mohanna Azarmandi is the first Chief Learning Officer (CLO) of Microsoft Germany and leads a newly formed department of skills and learning specialists at Microsoft Germany whose purpose is to define and build the right level of technical, professional, and marketing skills within Microsoft’s own employee base, as well as supporting the Microsoft Partner and Customer ecosystem identifying and building technical skills for business to innovate and compete in the digital era. She works very closely with Microsoft’s Education team on future skills for school and university students and teachers and takes joy in creating and sharing free skilling opportunities for underprivileged and underserved audiences.
As the youngest CLO within Microsoft world-wide, she considers herself born in the Cloud and a digital native, embracing what technology and digital skills can offer to each individual and society.
For Mohanna, (digital) skilling is not just an end goal, but rather a way of life. It’s always a blend of people and technology, that transforms the world around us because everybody contributes something unique.
Mohanna holds a master’s degree in Psychology and political science and lives in the North of Germany.
She is passionate about technology and the potential it offers to improve the lives of many, learning new skills which are not linked to her job, and to travel with her husband and their dog Rakete (Rocket) whenever they can.
She’s an avid runner, currently training for the Berlin Marathon in 2020 and just recently discovered boxing as a new passion.
