Manuel Soares de Oliveira holds a degree in Economics and Management by Universidade Católica de Fribourg, Swiss.
In 1983, he started his professional activity at COTESI - Companhia de Têxteis Sintéticos, leadind the Commercial Department. He is Solverde’s President since 1991, having won the Concession of Espinho Casinos, Monte Gordo, Vilamoura and Chaves. In 2017, inaugurated Casino Online.
His professional career is also linked to sports, he was President of Sporting Clube de Espinho and, currently, he is President of Oporto Golf Club.
Today he is President of Violas – SGPS, S.A.; Solverde – Sociedade de Investimentos Turísticos da Costa Verde, S.A.; Cotesi – Companhia de Têxteis Sintéticos, S.A.; Sociedade Imobiliária da Praia da Rocha; Viogesp – Sociedade Imobiliária, S.A.; Clip – Colégio Luso Internacional do Porto; Manager of Viacer – Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais, Lda and Chairman of Super Bock Group.
He also belongs to the General Council of Associação Empresarial de Portugal, Founding Council of Casa da Música and the Founding Council of Fundação de Serralves.
